The Merlin E850M Security+ 2.0 Wireless Keypad provides convenient keyless access to compatible Merlin garage door and gate openers using a secure 4-digit PIN.
Designed for outdoor installation, the E850M allows authorised users to operate a compatible garage door or automatic gate without carrying a handheld remote control. Simply enter a valid 4-digit PIN followed by the # key to transmit an encrypted wireless command to the opener.
With support for multiple permanent and temporary PIN codes, IP55 weather resistance and an illuminated keypad, the E850M is ideal for residential homes, family access, tradespeople, deliveries and other applications where controlled keyless entry is required.
🔐 Keyless PIN Access
The E850M eliminates the need to carry a garage door or gate remote when entering the property.
Operation is simple:
- Enter a valid 4-digit PIN
- Press the # key
- The keypad transmits the encrypted wireless command
- The connected garage door or gate opener operates
A long confirmation tone indicates that a valid PIN has been entered.
🛡️ Security+ 2.0 Rolling Code Technology
The E850M uses Merlin Security+ 2.0 rolling code technology.
Rather than repeatedly transmitting a fixed code, Security+ 2.0 provides encrypted wireless communication between the keypad and compatible opener.

The factory Master Code should be changed during initial setup to prevent unauthorised changes to the keypad configuration.

Pressing a key illuminates the keypad, making the buttons easier to identify when accessing the garage or gate at night.
The backlight remains illuminated for approximately 15 seconds following keypad activation.
