The B&D Smart Phone Control Kit – Part No. 14835 is a genuine B&D smartphone connectivity package designed to add remote smartphone control and monitoring to compatible B&D garage door openers.
The kit includes the B&D Network Smart Hub together with an NTR-1V1 Network Transceiver, 240V power supply and installation hardware. The supplied NTR-1V1 connects one compatible opener to the Smart Hub, allowing the garage door to communicate with the B&D smartphone control platform.
Once installed and configured, the system allows you to monitor and control your garage door through the B&D smartphone app from home, work or while away from the property.

🌐 B&D Network Smart Hub

The Smart Hub must remain connected to power after setup for the smart control system to remain operational.

🌎 Control Your Garage From Anywhere
Once the system is connected, the B&D smartphone platform allows you to interact with your garage door remotely through an internet-connected smartphone.
This can be particularly useful for:

If the internet connection becomes unavailable, remote smartphone functionality may be temporarily unavailable while the garage door opener can continue to operate through its normal local controls.
🛡️ Safety Beams for Smart-Controlled Openers
Smartphone control allows a garage door to be operated remotely when the user may not have direct line-of-sight of the door.
For this reason, appropriate obstruction detection and safety protection is particularly important on smart-controlled garage doors.
Compatible photoelectric safety beams monitor the garage door opening and allow the opener to detect an obstruction during automatic operation.

🔎 Network-Ready Openers
Compatibility is important with the first-generation 14835 system.
For some compatible B&D operators, the firmware label on the control board must indicate that the opener is network ready.
Published compatibility information states that the firmware version may have an N following the firmware number, such as F104N. Compatible lock-ready versions marked with an L may also support the system.
