Safetech Magnetic TriLatch Key Lockable – SL-50TRI
The Safetech SL-50TRI TriLatch is a premium magnetic self-latching gate latch specifically designed to provide an enhanced level of child-resistant protection for swimming pool gates, children’s play areas and other controlled pedestrian access points.
Building on Safetech’s proven magnetic top-pull latch system, the TriLatch incorporates an additional safety button into the release mechanism.
To open the gate, the user must push and continuously hold the safety button while simultaneously lifting the top release knob.
This multi-action opening sequence makes the SL-50TRI considerably more difficult for small children to operate and helps prevent the latch being released using a broom handle, toy or other long object from below.
The SL-50TRI is also key lockable, horizontally and vertically adjustable, UV stabilised and manufactured from fibre-reinforced engineered polymer, treated aluminium and rust-resistant stainless-steel components for long-term outdoor use.

🧹 Helps Prevent Release Using Long Objects
A conventional elevated pool-gate latch may potentially be reached using a broom handle, garden tool, toy or another long object.

Simply pushing or lifting the release mechanism is not enough to open the latch.
The safety button must be pressed and held while the knob is simultaneously lifted, making it considerably more difficult to release the latch using a long object from below.

⚠️ Please Note
The SL-50TRI requires the safety button to be pressed and continuously held while the top release knob is lifted.
Simply lifting the knob without pressing and holding the safety button will not correctly release the latch.
Safetech specifically designed the TriLatch for children’s play areas and pool gates and states that it has been independently tested to Australian Standards.
Correct installation remains essential.
Where the SL-50TRI is used as part of a swimming-pool barrier, the complete gate, latch, hinges, fence and surrounding barrier must comply with all applicable Australian Standards and local pool-safety requirements.
Compliance depends on the complete barrier installation and not the latch alone.
