🔧 B614 Installation
When used with the FAAC B614, the 4.3m S Beam is secured to the barrier operator using:

The securing pocket provides the mechanical connection between the Ø75mm round boom and the B614 barrier mechanism.
The securing pocket is supplied separately or can form part of a complete B614 barrier kit.
⚙️ B614 Balancing
When installed on a FAAC B614, the boom must be correctly counterbalanced according to the finished boom length and accessories fitted.
The B614 uses:
- FAAC B614 Balancing Spring – 721209
- FAAC Double Spring Fitting – 490186 where a double-spring arrangement is required
A standard 4.3m S Beam falls within the range where the exact spring arrangement depends on the effective finished boom length and accessories fitted.
Accessories such as:
- Boom lighting
- Skirt
- End foot
- Other boom equipment
can change the required balancing configuration.
The applicable FAAC balancing requirements should therefore be followed for the completed barrier assembly.
📏 Used in the B614 6m Boom Configuration
The 4.3m S Beam also forms part of FAAC’s extended 6m B614 boom configuration.
The current FAAC catalogue identifies the following components for creating the 6m boom:

- 428046 – 2.0m Round S Beam

Additional dedicated balancing components are required for the 6m configuration.
This makes 428043 particularly useful as both a standalone 4.3m boom and as one of the main beam sections in a complete B614 6m barrier kit.
💡 Optional Boom Lighting
The S Beam can be fitted with FAAC’s optional luminous cord system to improve visibility during night-time and low-light operation.
