The FAAC S Beam 3.3m is a genuine Ø75mm round aluminium barrier boom designed for compatible FAAC automatic barrier systems.

FAAC Part Number: 428042
🚧 3.3m Round S Barrier Beam
The FAAC S Beam features a round Ø75mm profile designed specifically for FAAC automatic barrier systems.
Specifications include:
- Beam length: 3,300mm
- Beam profile: Round S
- Outside diameter: Ø75mm
- Protective rubber profile: Included
- Reflective adhesive labels: Not included
The round profile provides a clean appearance while helping reduce the effect of wind compared with larger flat-profile barrier booms.
🔧 B614 Installation
When used with the FAAC B614, the S Beam is secured to the barrier operator using:
- FAAC S Beam Securing Pocket – 428445
The securing pocket provides the mechanical connection between the Ø75mm round boom and the B614 barrier mechanism.
The securing pocket is available separately or supplied as part of an appropriately configured B614 barrier kit.
⚙️ Balancing Spring
When installed on a FAAC B614, the boom must be correctly counterbalanced using the appropriate balancing spring configuration.
For a standard 3.3m S Beam without additional accessories, FAAC specifies one:
- FAAC B614 Balancing Spring – 721209
The required spring arrangement can change when additional equipment is fitted to the boom, including:
- LED lighting
- Skirt
- End foot
- Articulation kit
The complete boom configuration should therefore be considered when determining the correct balancing arrangement.
💡 Optional Boom Lighting
The S Beam can be fitted with FAAC’s optional luminous cord system for improved visibility.
Compatible accessories include:
- 390992 – Beam Light Connection Kit
- 390993 – 12m Luminous Cord Pack
This allows illumination to be incorporated along the boom for improved visibility during night-time and low-light operation.
🔴 Optional Reflective Markings
Reflective adhesive markings are not supplied with the 428042 beam.
FAAC offers:
- 490117 – Adhesive Reflector Kit, 6 Pieces
These can be fitted along the boom to improve visibility to approaching vehicles.

⚠️ Please Note
This listing is for one FAAC S Beam 3.3m – 428042.
The barrier operator, S Beam securing pocket, balancing spring, reflective labels and other barrier accessories are not included unless specifically stated.
The beam is supplied with its protective rubber profile.
Reflective adhesive labels are not included.
When installing the beam on a FAAC B614, the correct balancing spring configuration must be determined according to the finished boom length and any accessories fitted.
FAAC advises that an active safety edge cannot be installed directly onto the S Beam profile for balancing reasons.
