FAAC B680H Hybrid 24Vdc Barrier Kit
The FAAC B680H Hybrid 24Vdc Barrier Kit is a complete configurable automatic barrier package designed for intensive and continuous-use vehicle access applications.
Combining FAAC hydraulic technology with a high-efficiency brushless motor, the B680H delivers smooth, fast and reliable operation and can accommodate barrier boom configurations from 2 metres through to 8 metres.
Simply select the required boom length and cabinet finish, and the kit will be configured with the appropriate genuine FAAC boom and balancing components required for the selected installation.
🚧 Complete B680H Barrier Package
Rather than purchasing the individual barrier components separately, this kit combines the primary components required to assemble a complete FAAC B680H automatic barrier.
Depending on the selected configuration, the kit includes:

The exact components supplied vary according to the selected boom length.
FAAC supplies the B680H operator separately from the external cabinet, beam bracket and balancing spring, allowing the barrier to be configured for different beam lengths and finishes.
⚡ Hybrid Hydraulic Technology
The B680H combines a 36V brushless electric motor with FAAC’s proven hydraulic drive technology.
This hybrid system combines the durability and smooth operation of hydraulic automation with the precise electronic control and efficiency of a modern brushless DC motor.
FAAC rates the B680H for continuous operation and states that the brushless and hydraulic drive system, combined with its long-life spring system, is designed for more than 2,000,000 operating cycles.
🚀 Fast & Controlled Operation
The B680H is designed to provide fast barrier operation across a wide range of boom lengths.
FAAC specifies opening times ranging from approximately:
- 1.5 seconds with a 2m boom
- Up to 6 seconds with an 8m boom
The integrated magnetic absolute encoder provides precise monitoring of boom position throughout operation, allowing controlled acceleration, deceleration and movement.

📏 Boom Configurations
The B680H supports FAAC Round S and Round L beam systems depending on the required passage width.
Round S beams are used for configurations up to approximately 5m, while the larger Round L system allows the B680H to accommodate passage widths through to 8m.
Depending on the selected length, the kit may use either a complete one-piece beam or a modular beam assembly consisting of initial and final beam sections connected using the appropriate internal FAAC beam joint.
FAAC specifies an overall B680H beam range from 2m through to 8m.
⚙️ Pocket & Balancing Spring
The B680H uses dedicated beam pocket and balancing spring assemblies according to the beam type selected.
FAAC specifies:
- 428436 – Pocket & Balancing S Spring
- 428437 – Pocket & Balancing L Spring
The appropriate pocket and balancing spring assembly is supplied as part of the kit according to the selected boom configuration.
This differs from the B614 system, where the securing pocket and balancing springs are supplied as individual components.
🎨 Cabinet Options
The B680H uses a removable external cabinet fitted over the main barrier operator.
This kit is available with your choice of:

- Stainless Steel
The selected cabinet is included as part of the complete B680H Barrier Kit.

The removable cabinet design also provides convenient access to the internal barrier components for installation and servicing.
🧠 Integrated Electronic Control
The B680H incorporates the FAAC E680 electronic control system and a magnetic absolute encoder.
The encoder continuously monitors the position and movement of the barrier boom, allowing the electronics to precisely control acceleration, deceleration and movement throughout the opening and closing cycle.
FAAC also uses the encoder to detect abnormal movement and reverse the boom when an obstacle is detected.

Emergency battery backup can be added to the B680H using:

- 390080 – B680H XBAT Connection Kit
The 390080 connection kit is required when installing the XBAT battery system on a B680H.

Safety devices, access control equipment, receivers, remotes, photocells, LED beam lighting, traffic lights, battery backup and other optional accessories are not included unless specifically selected.
Certain accessories cannot be used with every B680H boom configuration. Boom length, beam type and accessories fitted must be considered when configuring the complete barrier system. FAAC publishes different accessory limits for S and L beams according to the effective passage width.
