⚙️ FAAC 415 24Vdc Electromechanical Operator
The FAAC 415 is an electromechanical linear swing gate operator that uses a worm-screw drive system to move the gate leaf.
Its slim in-axis design allows the operator to be installed neatly between the gate leaf and post while providing powerful and controlled movement.
The standard 415 24V provides:

💪 Powerful 2800N Maximum Force
Despite its compact linear design, the FAAC 415 24V develops up to 2800N of maximum expressed force.
This provides strong and reliable gate movement while the compatible electronic control board manages operating force, slowdown and safety functions.
The gate must still be correctly installed, aligned and moving freely before automation is fitted. Gate size alone should not be used to determine operator suitability, particularly with solid gates exposed to significant wind loads.
📏 Suitable for Gate Leaves up to 3 Metres
The standard FAAC 415 24V has a 300mm stroke and is specified for swing gate leaves up to:
- 2.5m without an electric lock
- 3m with an appropriate electric lock
FAAC also produces the longer 415 L 24V with a 400mm stroke for larger gate leaves, but the standard 415 and 415 L should not be treated as interchangeable when determining installation geometry.
🔒 Self-Locking Operation
The FAAC 415 uses a non-reversing electromechanical drive arrangement that mechanically holds the gate when the motor is not operating.
For the standard 415 24V, FAAC identifies the operator as self-locking on gate leaves up to 2.5m. An electric lock is required when using the operator on longer leaves up to its 3m maximum application.
An electric lock can also be beneficial in applications exposed to high wind loads or where additional closed-gate security is desired.

Selecting the appropriate receiver is important because the receiver technology determines which remote control system can be used with the automation.

BUS 2easy accessories use a two-wire communication system, allowing compatible photocells and other safety equipment to communicate directly with the control board.
This can simplify installation while also providing greater flexibility when multiple safety devices are required.
🔋 Add Battery Backup
One of the major advantages of selecting the 24V version of the FAAC 415 is the availability of battery backup with compatible control equipment.
The optional battery system allows the automation to retain operation during a mains power failure, subject to battery condition, system configuration and operating demand.

The maximum gate leaf dimensions alone do not guarantee that the 415 will fit a particular gate.

One operator is required for a single swing gate and two operators are required for a double swing gate.
The standard FAAC 415 24V is self-locking on gate leaves up to 2.5m. For leaves over 2.5m and up to the 3m maximum, FAAC requires an appropriate electric lock.
Gate dimensions are only one factor in operator selection. Gate weight, construction, wind loading, hinge position and installation geometry must also be considered.
