FAAC 413 24Vdc Swing Gate Opener – 1044131
The FAAC 413 24Vdc is a reliable linear electromechanical swing gate operator designed for residential and light-commercial gate automation.
Using FAAC’s proven worm screw drive system, the 413 provides strong, controlled linear movement in a compact operator body. The 24Vdc motor allows intensive operation and, when paired with a compatible FAAC control system, provides electronic obstacle detection and the option of battery backup operation.
Suitable for individual swing gate leaves up to 2.5 metres long, depending on the gate and installation conditions.

⚙️ 24Vdc Electromechanical Drive
The FAAC 413 uses a linear worm screw drive system to convert motor rotation into the push-and-pull movement required to operate a swing gate.
The 24Vdc motor provides:
- 70W motor power
- 250 daN maximum thrust
- 300mm working travel
- Approximately 1.6cm/sec rod speed
- Continuous-duty operation at 20°C
This makes the 413 24V suitable for applications requiring more frequent operation than the equivalent 230V version.
🚪 Gates Up to 2.5 Metres
FAAC specifies the 413 24V for individual gate leaves between approximately 0.8 and 2.5 metres long.
The operator is self-locking on gate leaves up to 1.8 metres.
For gate leaves longer than 1.8 metres, FAAC requires an electric lock to ensure secure leaf locking.
Actual suitability also depends on gate weight, construction, hinge condition, wind loading and installation geometry.
🛑 Integrated Mechanical Stops
The FAAC 413 is supplied with built-in mechanical opening and closing travel stops.
These can be adjusted during installation to establish the required operator travel without necessarily requiring separate external ground stops.
With the internal mechanical stops installed, the normal operator travel is 300mm.
🧠 Virtual Encoder & Obstacle Detection
When operated with the appropriate FAAC 24V control equipment, the system provides virtual encoder functionality and electronic anti-crushing protection.
The control system monitors the operator during movement and can reverse the gate when an obstacle is detected.
This provides improved movement control and safety compared with a basic fixed-force operator system.
🔋 Optional Battery Backup
The 24Vdc platform allows a compatible emergency battery backup system to be incorporated into the gate automation system.
When installed with suitable FAAC control equipment and batteries, the gate can continue to operate during a mains power failure.
Battery backup equipment is optional and is not included with the individual operator.
🔒 Self-Locking Operation
The FAAC 413 uses a non-reversing electromechanical drive system.
When the motor is stopped, the drive mechanism mechanically resists movement of the gate.
FAAC specifies self-locking operation for gate leaves up to 1.8 metres.
For longer gate leaves, an electric lock is required.
🔓 Manual Release
A key-operated manual release system allows the operator to be disengaged when manual gate movement is required.
This allows the gate to be operated manually during servicing, system faults or extended power interruptions where battery backup is unavailable.
