Description
The ATA SecuraCode PTX-4 Blue Enclosure Set is a genuine replacement housing for the ATA PTX-4 4-button garage door and gate transmitter.
Designed to replace a cracked, damaged or worn PTX-4 case, the enclosure allows the existing transmitter circuit board and battery to be transferred into a new blue housing rather than replacing the complete remote control.
ATA Part Number: 63145
Colour: Blue
🔵 Genuine Blue PTX-4 Enclosure
The ATA 63145 is a replacement blue enclosure designed for the popular ATA PTX-4 transmitter.
It provides a simple solution where the transmitter electronics are still working correctly but the original plastic housing has become damaged or worn.
Rather than replacing and programming another complete remote, the existing electronics can be transferred into the new enclosure.
🎮 Designed for the ATA PTX-4
The enclosure is designed specifically for the ATA PTX-4 remote control.
It accommodates the original four-button PTX-4 circuit board and provides a replacement for the original external housing.
This enclosure can be used with compatible PTX-4 electronics originally fitted to blue or pink PTX-4 remotes.
🔘 Four-Button Enclosure
The replacement housing is designed for the PTX-4 four-button transmitter.
The enclosure provides access to all four transmitter buttons, allowing the existing circuit board to retain its original programmed functions.
Depending on the existing remote configuration, these buttons may operate:
- Garage doors
- Automatic gates
- Multiple receiver channels
- Compatible auxiliary functions
Replacing the enclosure does not alter the programming stored within the transmitter electronics.
♻️ Reuse Your Existing Circuit Board
The ATA 63145 does not include a new transmitter circuit board.
The existing PTX-4 circuit board is removed from the original enclosure and installed into the replacement case.
This makes the enclosure ideal when the remote still operates correctly but suffers from:
- Cracked housing
- Broken plastic
- Worn buttons
- Damaged casing
- Loose enclosure sections
- Damage from being dropped
- General wear from regular use
🔑 Existing Programming Retained
Because the existing PTX-4 circuit board is reused, the transmitter’s existing coding and programming are retained.
Replacing the plastic enclosure does not normally require the transmitter to be programmed back into the garage door opener or gate receiver.
Once the original electronics and battery have been correctly installed into the replacement housing, the transmitter can continue operating with its existing programming.
🔋 Battery Not Included
The ATA 63145 is an enclosure-only replacement.
A new battery is not included.
The existing battery can be transferred from the original transmitter if it remains serviceable.
If the remote has experienced reduced operating range or intermittent operation, it may be worthwhile replacing the battery while fitting the new enclosure.
🛠️ Simple Remote Refurbishment
Replacing the enclosure is a practical way of extending the life of an existing PTX-4 remote.
The circuit board should be removed carefully from the original enclosure to avoid damaging the internal components or board-retaining points.
When installing the board into the replacement case, ensure it is correctly located within the internal retaining clips before closing the enclosure.
🔧 Circuit Board Installation
The PTX-4 circuit board is retained by locating points within the enclosure.
When removing the circuit board:
- Carefully release the side retaining points
- Gently angle the circuit board out of the original enclosure
- Avoid bending or forcing the circuit board
- Check the circuit board for damage
- Check the battery condition
When installing the circuit board:
- Position it beneath the upper retaining points
- Carefully lower the circuit board into the enclosure
- Engage the side retaining points
- Confirm the buttons operate correctly
- Reassemble the enclosure
Excessive force should not be required.
🏠 Garage Door Remote Repairs
The PTX-4 was widely used with ATA garage door automation equipment.
The 63145 enclosure is therefore ideal for refurbishing existing PTX-4 transmitters still being used with compatible garage door openers.
The enclosure compatibility is determined by the PTX-4 transmitter itself rather than the model of garage door opener.
🚧 Gate Remote Repairs
PTX-4 transmitters were also commonly used with compatible ATA gate automation and stand-alone receiver systems.
The same replacement enclosure can therefore be used where an existing PTX-4 is operating an automatic gate.
If the existing transmitter is a compatible PTX-4, its electronics can be transferred into the 63145 enclosure.
💰 Cost-Effective Alternative to a New Remote
If the existing PTX-4 circuit board still operates correctly, there is little reason to replace the complete transmitter simply because the case has been damaged.
Replacing the enclosure allows the working electronics to remain in service.
This can avoid the need to:
- Purchase a complete replacement remote
- Replace functioning electronics
- Program another transmitter
- Delete or modify existing receiver programming
