📡 Advanced e-Loop Wireless Transceiver

The e-Trans 100 provides the interface between compatible wireless e-Loop devices and the automatic gate, door or access control system.

When a paired e-Loop detects a vehicle, the wireless detection command is received by the e-Trans 100.

The transceiver then activates the appropriate output channel according to the programmed configuration.

This allows compatible e-Loop vehicle detectors to communicate wirelessly with the gate automation system without requiring a detection cable between the roadway detector and gate controller.

Typical applications include:

  • Automatic sliding gates
  • Automatic swing gates
  • Boom gates
  • Automatic barriers
  • Commercial entrances
  • Industrial access points
  • Apartment complexes
  • Shared residential entrances

  • Multi-user automatic gates

Up to 100 compatible e-TX remotes can be managed by a single e-Trans 100.

2️⃣ Dual-Channel Operation

One of the major differences between the e-Trans 100 and smaller e-Trans models is the addition of 2 output channels.

Dual-channel operation provides greater flexibility when integrating multiple wireless devices with an automatic gate or access control system.

The two channels can be used to provide separate control functions according to the requirements of the installation.

Potential applications can include:

  • Main gate opening
  • Pedestrian opening
  • Separate access functions
  • Independent gate commands
  • Separate vehicle detection functions

The actual functions available depend on the connected gate controller and the programming of the e-Trans system.

🔄 Sequence Mode Capability

The e-Trans 100 introduces Sequence Mode capability for more advanced gate automation applications.

Sequence Mode allows compatible devices and output channels to operate according to a programmed sequence rather than functioning solely as basic individual relay triggers.

This provides additional flexibility for installations requiring coordinated control behaviour.

Sequence Mode can be particularly useful in more advanced commercial access control systems where multiple detection points or control functions need to interact.

⚡ AC & DC Power Compatibility

Unlike the e-Trans 20 and e-Trans 50, which require DC power, the e-Trans 100 incorporates both AC and DC power compatibility.

The standard operating supply range is:

  • 10–36V DC
  • 10–26V AC

This makes the e-Trans 100 considerably easier to integrate with a wide variety of automatic gate controllers.

Many gate operators provide either AC or DC accessory power, and the e-Trans 100 can accommodate both within its specified operating range.

🔌 Easier Gate Operator Integration

AC and DC compatibility means the e-Trans 100 can often be powered directly from the accessory output of the connected gate controller.

This can eliminate the need for the separate AC-to-DC converter required when installing an e-Trans 20 or e-Trans 50 on a controller that only provides AC accessory power.

The voltage available from the gate controller should always be checked before connection.

🔋 Low Power Consumption

The e-Trans 100 has been designed to operate with low power consumption.

Typical standard operating current is approximately 12mA.

An optional Low Drain Current configuration provides approximately 4.5mA operation for installations where minimising power consumption is particularly important.

Low current consumption can be beneficial for:

  • Solar gate systems
  • Battery-backed gate operators
  • Remote installations
  • Low-power access control systems

🚪 Automatic Free-Exit Applications

The e-Trans 100 can form the interface between a compatible e-Loop and the gate controller for automatic vehicle free-exit applications.

A typical sequence is:

  1. A vehicle approaches the e-Loop.
  2. The e-Loop detects the vehicle.
  3. The detector transmits the command wirelessly.
  4. The e-Trans 100 receives the command.
  5. The programmed output channel activates.
  6. The gate controller receives the opening command.
  7. The automatic gate opens.

This allows vehicles to exit without requiring the driver to use a remote control, keypad or other access credential.

🅿️ Vehicle Presence Applications

The e-Trans 100 can also be used with compatible Presence Mode e-Loops.

Depending on the e-Loop and system configuration, vehicle presence detection can be used for applications such as:

  • Holding an automatic gate open
  • Holding a boom gate open
  • Vehicle presence monitoring
  • Commercial access control
  • Vehicle detection zones
  • Parking applications

The gate or access control system must provide an appropriate input and operating logic for the required function.

Vehicle presence detection should form part of a correctly designed automation system and should not replace required personal safety devices.

🚦 Multiple Vehicle Detection Points

Support for up to 4 e-Loops makes the e-Trans 100 particularly useful where several vehicle detection points are required around the same entrance.

For example, a commercial entrance could incorporate separate detectors for:

  • Vehicle approach
  • Automatic exit
  • Gate presence
  • Additional detection zones

The dual-channel architecture provides greater flexibility when assigning these detection functions to the connected automation system.

💡 e-Light Compatibility

The e-Trans 100 is compatible with the Microtech Designs e-Light monitoring system.

The e-Light provides a convenient visual indication of the condition of connected e-Loop devices.

When installed in a prominent location, the e-Light can provide warning indications for conditions such as:

  • Low e-Loop battery
  • Lost communication with an e-Loop
  • System status conditions

This can be particularly useful for commercial installations where vehicle detectors need to be monitored without individually inspecting each detector.

🚨 e-Light Relay Module Compatibility

The e-Trans 100 can also be used with the compatible e-Light Relay Module.

The module allows third-party warning lights or indicators to be incorporated into the e-Loop monitoring system.

This can be particularly useful for industrial and commercial installations where a larger or more visible status indicator is required.

🔍 Loop Fault Indication

The e-Trans 100 incorporates dedicated loop status indicators to assist with troubleshooting.

If communication with a programmed e-Loop is lost, the appropriate loop indicator can flash to identify the affected detector.

Low battery conditions can also be indicated, helping installers and maintenance personnel identify which e-Loop requires attention.

This provides an important maintenance advantage on installations using several vehicle detectors.

📡 External Antenna Compatibility

The e-Trans 100 is compatible with Microtech Designs external antenna options.

An external antenna can be used to improve wireless communication or extend operating range where installation conditions make reception difficult.

Compatible antenna options can include:
