Bristle Brush Seal Kit
The Bristle Brush Seal Kit provides an effective way to close the gaps around the sides and top of a garage door opening, helping reduce the entry of dust, draughts, leaves, insects and other debris.
Each kit combines durable fire-resistant bristle brush seal with extruded aluminium carriers, providing a neat and robust perimeter sealing system suitable for residential and commercial garage doors.
The flexible bristles maintain contact with the garage door while allowing the door to move freely during operation.
🔥 Fire-Resistant Bristle Brush
The brush used in our Bristle Brush Seal Kits is manufactured using fire-resistant bristles, providing an additional level of protection compared with conventional general-purpose brush seals.
Fire-resistant brush seals can also help reduce gaps through which wind-blown embers may enter a garage during a bushfire event.
Fire resistance should not, however, be confused with a complete fire-rated door or fire-rated sealing system. Any specific BAL, bushfire or fire-compliance requirement must be assessed against the applicable product test data and installation requirements.
Comparable Australian garage-door brush seals are independently tested under AS 1530.2 and used for ember-gap sealing applications under AS 3959, demonstrating why the fire performance of the bristle material can be particularly valuable in garage door applications.
🚪 Seals the Sides & Top
The kit is designed to seal three sides of the garage door opening:
- Left-hand side
- Right-hand side
- Across the top of the opening
The aluminium carriers are installed around the internal face of the opening, positioning the bristles so they lightly contact the garage door when closed.
Because the bristles are flexible, the door can continue to operate normally while maintaining a seal around the perimeter.

⚠️ Please Note
Select a kit that is equal to or larger than your actual garage door opening dimensions.
For example, a 2.4m high × 4.8m wide opening should use the Up to 2.5m High × 5.0m Wide kit.
The supplied aluminium carriers and bristle brush can then be trimmed during installation for an accurate fit.
The bristles are fire resistant; however, this does not mean the complete garage door or installation is fire rated.
If you have the manufacturer’s actual fire test information for these particular brushes — for example an AS 1530.2 Flammability Index or a BAL rating — we can add the exact certified performance to the listing rather than making a general fire-resistance claim.
