⚠️ Please Note
The SHN-110L-MAX is a neutral / non-tension hinge and does not automatically close the gate.
Safetech specifies a maximum holding weight of 35kg for the SHN-110L-MAX hinge pair.
The 26kg closing capacity sometimes shown in combined AlfaMax specifications applies only to the SHF-110L-MAX fixed-tension model and does not apply to the SHN-110L-MAX.
Safetech’s holding-weight rating is based on a standard test gate measuring approximately 900mm wide x 1200mm high.
Gates exceeding these dimensions can place additional leverage on the hinges and may reduce their effective holding capacity.
The gate must be supported during installation. The hinges are not designed to carry the gate weight until both hinges have been correctly attached.
Safetech specifies that these hinges are designed for non-automated gates. Use for other purposes may affect performance.
Because the SHN-110L-MAX is not self-closing, it should not be selected where regulations or the application require the gate to automatically return to the closed position.
The gate and supporting posts must be structurally suitable for the loads imposed by the gate and hinge system.
