The FAAC 422 CBACS is a compact 230V hydraulic swing gate operator designed for residential, strata and light-commercial gate automation.
Featuring FAAC’s proven hydraulic drive technology, the 422 CBACS combines smooth gate movement with high operating force, hydraulic locking and a durable weather-resistant construction.
Part number 104209 is the CBACS version featuring hydraulic locking in both opening and closing together with the slower 0.75 L/min hydraulic pump.

💧 Proven FAAC Hydraulic Technology
The FAAC 422 is a self-contained electro-hydraulic operator incorporating the electric motor, hydraulic pump, valve system and hydraulic cylinder into a compact linear operator.
Hydraulic operation provides smooth and powerful gate movement and makes the 422 particularly suitable for applications requiring reliable, repeated operation.
🔒 Hydraulic Locking in Opening & Closing
The 422 CBACS incorporates hydraulic locking in both the open and closed gate positions.
When the operator stops, the hydraulic system resists movement of the gate leaf without relying solely on an external electric lock.
This distinguishes the CBACS from the non-locking SBS version of the FAAC 422.

This listing is for FAAC part number 104209, the 422 CBACS 230V hydraulic swing gate operator.
The “S” designation is important. This version uses the slower 0.75 L/min hydraulic pump and should not be confused with the standard 1 L/min 422 CBAC 104200.
The maximum gate leaf length for the CBACS is 1.8 metres. The 3 metre specification associated with the FAAC 422 range applies to the non-locking SB/SBS versions.
The electronic control board, enclosure, receiver, transmitters, photocells, optional SAFEcoder and other system accessories are separate unless specifically included as part of a kit.
Maximum gate dimensions are manufacturer limits and do not automatically mean every gate within those dimensions is suitable. Gate construction, wind loading, hinge condition, installation geometry and operating requirements must also be considered.
