Description

FAAC S Beam Pocket & Spring – B680H – 428436

The FAAC S Beam Pocket & Spring is the genuine combined beam mounting pocket and balancing spring assembly designed for use with Round S beams on the FAAC B680H Hybrid Barrier Operator.

Unlike the B614 system, where the beam securing pocket and balancing spring are separate components, the B680H combines these components into a matched assembly.

FAAC Part Number: 428436

⚙️ Combined Pocket & Balancing Spring

The 428436 provides the mounting and balancing components required to install a Round S beam onto the B680H barrier.

The assembly includes:

  • S beam mounting pocket / bracket
  • B680H S balancing spring
  • Associated mounting assembly

The balancing spring counterbalances the weight of the barrier boom, reducing the load on the hydraulic drive system and allowing smooth opening and closing operation.

📏 Designed for Round S Beams

FAAC specifies the 428436 for its Round S beam system, which is used on B680H installations with passage widths up to 5 metres.

Compatible S beam configurations include:

  • 428045 – S Beam 2.3m
  • 428042 – S Beam 3.3m
  • 428043 – S Beam 4.3m
  • 428044 – S Beam 5.3m
  • 428046 – S Final Beam 2m
  • 428615 – S Beam Joint Kit for modular configurations

FAAC’s Round S beam profile has a 75mm circular section and is designed for use with the B680H S balancing system.

🚧 B680H S Beam Configurations

The S beam system is intended for B680H passage widths up to 5 metres.

FAAC specifies different accessory allowances depending on the effective passage width:

  • Up to 4.5m – lights, skirt and end foot can be fitted
  • 4.5m to 5m – lights can be fitted
  • 4.5m to 5m modular configuration – additional boom accessories are restricted

These limitations are important because additional accessories increase the weight and balancing requirements of the boom.

🔧 B680H Specific Component

The 428436 is specifically designed for the FAAC B680H barrier system.

The B680H operator itself does not include the beam mounting bracket or balancing spring. FAAC supplies these together under a separate part number according to the beam system being installed.

For Round S beams:

  • 428436 – S Beam Pocket & Spring

For larger Round L beam configurations:

  • 428437 – L Beam Pocket & Spring
